Woodhall Manor - Wedding Photography for Geoff & Karen

The last wedding of 2009 was that of Geoff and Karen at Woodhall Manor. As always Woodhall Manor was a fantastic wedding location especially when the elements turn against us! We where able to use the great interior of the wedding venue to shoot Geoff and Karens wedding images. Geoff and Karen where a warm and hospitable couple who made us feel truly welcome.

Studio Refurb

Its been dirty and dusty but the refurb of our studio is coming on at a pace now. We are seeking to improve our overall customer experiance in the studio and also provide something entirely different portrait wise in the studio.

The entrance way is nearly finished now with a far more contemporary look, our studio has been transformed with strong patterns and fantastic fabrics and textures. We are not ready for our big reaveal yet but for nearly the first time on this blog you can see a picture of me just after doing the dusty work on our studio feature wall!

Although we have done a couple of weddings this year ( I will blog them soon promise ) our wedding season kicks of extra early this year with Beth and Johns wedding on the 20th Saturday at Ufford Park followed on the 27th by Emma and Tony's wedding at Le Talbooth and then on the 5th of March Catherine and Julian at Woodhall Manor. I think we should do our last wedding this year in December phew! ;o)

Also hi to Richard!

Woodhall Manor :: Winter Wedding Photography for Gavin & Kathryn

Back at Woodhall Manor again! Our weddings have mainly been at Woodhall Manor of late and its a venue which offers so much and this time we got snow! I have wanted to shoot a snowy wedding for a long while ans I finally got my chance on the 19th of December - although I did panic a little about getting there!
Fortunately we got there fine and there was loads of snow around, which for the poor bridesmaids was not so much fun in their tiny ( if very pretty ) shoes - Kathryn on the other hand had a secret weapon and a large pair of boots with thick socks where hiding underneath that dress!
Gavin and Kathryn where great, the snow was great and I hope you think our pictures are great!

Woodhall Manor :: Wedding Photography :: For Owen & Angela

Woodhall Manor played host to our first wedding of December for Owen and Angela on Saturday the 12th of December. Woodhall Manor is a great place for wedding photography especially when it is getting dark. We had bright sunlight before the service which provided some great lighting in the pre wedding images but after the service my first real rain of the year started to come down so for Owen and Angelas friends and family shots where done inside - by the time we got to Woodhall it had dried up but it was quite dark - but this is where a venue like Woodhall Manor comes into its own. Woodhall Manor looks really atmospheric at this time of year and using a combination of off camera flash and video lights we where really able to capture a Woodhall Manor wedding like never before.
Owen and Angela where perfect hosts for their wedding - choosing personalised gifts for all their guests and providing some truly stunning food and wines for their wedding guests including us which was just fantastic - thanks!

1.8 50mm - love it- it was dark in here!

Just love low winter sunlight!

The sun had gone but a splash of off camera flash!

Woodhall Manor :: Wedding Photography :: For Richard & Jess

On the 14th of November we were back at Woodhall Manor for the wedding of Richard and Jess. The day's wedding photography started in Felixstowe, Suffolk for the preparation shots. After the service in Felixstowe we traveled to Woodhall Manor and between the wind and showers we got a great set of images. The day was really dramatic as the wind was servere bringing down trees onto powerlines and cutting off the whole of Sutton Village and parts of Woodbridge. Fortunately Richard and Jess had opted for a candlelit reception so the lack of electric was not a problem in fact it resulted in one of the most fantastic atmospheres at a wedding with the staff of Woodhall Manor lighting the venue with hundreds and hundreds of candles!

Woodhall Manor :: Sneak Peek of our White Winter Wedding

Ok a sneek pic of one of Dibbs images when she got to Woodhall Manor on Saturday 19th of December when we had all the snow! Woodhall Manor was absolutly beautiful in the snow and we will blog the rest of the images soon - but we still have to blog the rest of Novembers weddings and the other December weddings first!

All our weddings are available in our 'your pictures' section of our website, some have a password applied which is available from the bride and groom.

Woodhall Manor - Sutton - Woodbridge - Wedding Photography for Ian and Lisa

Woodhall Manor is fast becoming our most popular destination. As you will see from past blog posts and many future ones we are spending more and more time shooting weddings at this fantastic venue. Woodhall Manor is a dedicated wedding venue where you have exclusive use for your wedding including the beautiful manor house and all of its twelve bedrooms and your own chef for breakfast the morning after! Woodhall Manor is owned my Tammy Madge and the team is lead by Jose the manager and his two right hand women Faye and Hannah. Woodhall Manor is based close to Woodbridge in Suffolk in the small village of Sutton within easy reach of the A12 and A14.

Enough of the advert for Woodhall Manor and more about Ian and Lisa's wedding and their wedding photography. We shot this wedding in late October on the 31st. Ian and Lisa where a great couple and Lisa easily wins our prize for most organized bride of 2009! Good organising really pays off with a fantastic day which run really smoothly and that is down to the hard work Lisa and Ian put in before the big day! This also makes our job so much easier resulting in great images of the many different elements of their day from both the bride and groom preparation through to the sky lanterns and fireworks. Thanks Lisa and Ian for making us so welcome!

A quick note for Dave ( you know who you are ) Video Light rules! ;o)
